I was invited as one of the speakers at “Apa Kabar Indonesia” (ed. How Are You Indonesia) at TVOne this Tuesday morning, along with the hosts of Bandung Coffee Festival, which was represented by Ellyanthy Tambunan and Hermawan Rianto. Briefly speaking, the committee stressed on the importance of the event, which will be held on the 23^rd of December 2011, to promote Indonesian coffee to the public.

I, as always, give my full support to every activity that gives educational purposes and opens up the public’s perspective on how much affluence of resources we have for coffee. The long term hope is that the consumption of specialty coffee will increase, as what Hermawan Rianto, the Festival director said, “If Indonesian people start consuming specialty coffee two to three times a day, then we can decrease the amount of specialty coffee we export overseas, or even eliminating that altogether.”

So let’s head out to Bandung Coffee Festival, held on 23 December at Cihampelas Walk, which will start from 2 pm until late in the evening.

Saya diundang sebagai salah satu nara sumber pada segmen acara “Apa Kabar Indonesia” di TV One Selasa pagi tadi bersama penyelenggara Festival Kopi Bandung yang diwakili oleh Ellyanthy Tambunan dan Hermawan Rianto. Secara singkat pantia menggarisbawahi pentingnya acara yang akan mereka gelar tanggal 23 Desember ini untuk lebih mempromosikan kopi Nusantara kepada khalayak ramai. Saya tentu memberikan dukungan kepada setiap kegiatan yang bersifat edukatif dan membuka wawasan masyarakat luas akan kekayaan kopi Indonesia. Harapan jangka panjangnya konsumsi kopi spesial akan terus meningkat sebagaimana yang dikatakan Hermawan Rianto, Direktur Festival “Jika saja penduduk Indonesia mengkonsumsi kopi 2 hingga 3 kali per hari, maka eksport kopi ke luar negeri bisa sangat berkurang kalau tidak bisa dikatakan dihilangkan”.

Mari kita saksikan acara Festival Kopi Bandung pada tanggal 23 Desember di Cihampelas Walk, yang akan berlangsung dari pukul 14 hingga malam hari.
